With the guidance of a good teacher, however, you can come close. To me, Suzanne is that teacher. I was a good enough actress beforehand, but my performances were largely paint by numbers. I used what I saw in the script and little more. She's taught me how to come at characters from angles I haven't considered before, to truly watch the people around me and understand the reasons why they move, how they gesture, why they choose the words they speak.
